01
When to go
May, late June, and September are our quiet favorites. July and August are exquisite but very busy — and very hot. Book ten months in advance for prime hotels, eighteen for villas.
02
Where to stay — Positano
Le Sirenuse remains the icon. Il San Pietro di Positano for sweeping privacy and the best terrace in town. Hotel Marincanto for quiet, well-priced charm.
03
Where to stay — Capri
JK Place Capri for design, Grand Hotel Quisisana for grandeur, Capri Tiberio Palace for character. Stay three nights minimum.
04
Where to stay — Ravello
Caruso, A Belmond Hotel — the infinity pool above the Tyrrhenian Sea is one of Italy's great views.
05
The Lorraine private boat day
A teak gozzo from Positano to Nerano for lunch at Lo Scoglio, then a swim at Li Galli and an aperitivo in Capri before sunset. Our advisors arrange the captain and the lunch reservation.
06
How to combine
Three nights Positano + two nights Capri + two nights Ravello is the classic Lorraine itinerary. Pair with Rome (three nights) for a perfect ten-day Italy.
